What does one do if he’s not a CEO or an heir to a vast fortune or an oil sheik and wants a Mercedes-Benz McLaren Roadster?
He does the next best thing: Test drive!
Your first look at her aerodynamic body and you just know she wants to be driven and driven fast. Really fast.
It’s insanely powerful; its top speed of 206 mph pushes you back into your seat.
Practically everyone I passed gave me that head turning, jaw dropping look.
Who could blame them? This SLR is the best exotic car that was allowed to hit the streets.
With its 617-horsepower, supercharged engine one really has a feeling of power. Sure it does have its cons. Top of all is its price. But after all its shortcomings, very few would not want to have this baby parked in the driveway.
Swing by your Houston Mercedes Dealer and test drive one soon.

The Mercedes C300 is a sporty and luxury sedan which is a part of Mercedes C-Class series. The 2009 release comes in two versions: Luxury and Sport. Both are rear-wheel drive and use a 228 horsepower, 3.0 liter V6. But only the Sport has a manual transmission which is part of its 7-speed automatic transmission.
The C300 is not generally known for its performance. The engine does little help to its function power and fuel efficiency. Its 130 mph maximum speed is not remarkable by usual standards. The 2009 C300 series offers minimal adjustments to its predecessors. The Luxury version is faithful to the Mercedes-Benz tradition in terms of power and functionalities while the Sport version is a little a more upbeat, with acceleration of 26 mpg on highways and 18 mpg on the city.
The strength of the Mercedes C300 lies on its sleek exterior and state-of-the art interior ergonomics. The Luxury comes in chrome and walnut color while the Sport gets maple wood or matte-aluminum finish. This gives both an uncluttered and purposeful look. The interior houses climate controls with circular dials and defined buttons. The audio system has MP3 and CD player with an optional Satellite Radio. Its GPS Navigation system is impeccable and all other settings and advanced functions are handled by a dashtop screen.
The leather seats are comfortable and the trunk is spacey with a nice trim. You can find interior storage on the front console and door bins. It has a multi-link center suspension with anti-diving geometry and gas-loaded shock absorbers.
Stop by and take one for a test drive at your nearby Houston Mercedes Dealership.

Consumers could see attractive deals on nearly all vehicles through next year. Research firm J.D. Power & Associates expects automakers to sell 13.6 million light-duty cars and trucks this year, down 16 percent from a year ago.
Manufacturers had generally pulled back on incentives for smaller vehicles this year, after record-high gas prices spiked demand. And the discounts still aren’t as juicy or widespread as those on fuel-thirsty sport-utility vehicles, or even car-based crossovers.
But customers can now get good deals — including cash-back offers, low-interest-rate financing and lease specials — on some best-selling cars. And they have newfound leverage when negotiating with dealers, many of whom are desperate to move vehicles off their lots.
Even as I was typing this post I saw a television ad announcing that Mercedes-Benz Dealers are offering lease deals on many of its cars.

Mercedes-Benz debuts next year’s E-class coupe and the Fascination, a concept car.
Mercedes-Benz showcases a new design at this year’s Paris Motor Show with its Concept FASCINATION design.
This vehicle approaches the coupé design in a new way
It would appear to foreshadow next year’s E-class coupe, which will replace the CLK coupe, but could it become a model in its own right?
The design’s elongated body is dominated by the dynamic front-to-rear sweep of its lines.
This is emphasised by the long, frameless, side-window line from front to rearwith no B-pillar.
The large load space in the rear is integrated in the vehicle body.
The side windows can be lowered completely
The wheel arches are strongly sculpted, the rear wings in particular.
In order to maintain the flow of the surfaces and edges, the door handles are visually extended rearward of the doors into the sides of the vehicle.
They rise out electrically at the touch of a button.
The Fascination is equipped with 20-inch light-alloy multi-spoke wheels.
